Marina Correia is Atelier's principal architect and founder. She obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Architecture from The City University of New York, a Master Degree in Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Ph.D. in History of Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Sao Paulo. She was a collaborator at Isay Weinfeld (Sao Paulo), SOM (San Francisco), Corea Moran Arquitectura (Barcelona) and 1100: Architect (New York), among others. She currently teaches at Columbia University and The City University of New York. She previously taught at Cal Poly Pomona, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Pratt Institute and Rhode Island School of Design.
